If your reflector geometry is slightly off, or if your power supply isn’t tuned to the lamp’s impedance, you’re going to fry that filament way before its time. That’s why we don’t just sell parts. We get our hands dirty with field diagnostics first. Because let’s be honest: a lamp is only as good as the system it’s plugged into. The magic of gold coating Standard quartz emitters are leaky. They lose a ton of energy out the back of the tube, which is basically just wasting heat. We fix that by adding a thin layer of gold to the back of the quartz. It acts like a mirror, bouncing all that shortwave radiation forward. Instead of heat going everywhere, you get a concentrated beam hitting your workpiece. You get more heat flux without having to crank up the wattage. It’s just smarter. The trade-offs you need to know When we’re sizing a system, we look closely at the voltage-to-wattage ratio. If you cram a high-wattage tube into a tiny footprint, you get massive heat density. This is a lifesaver for things like PET blowing or rapid curing. But there’s a catch. That kind of heat puts a huge amount of stress on the lamp ends. If your cooling fans aren’t up to the task, heat builds up at the seals and—snap—the quartz cracks. Getting it right on the floor We use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors so these slide right in as replacements. But we don’t just put them in a box and ship them. We check your wiring. Why? Because a loose contact at the terminals causes arcing. And arcing is a death sentence for emitters. Our engineers actually come to your facility to measure the surface temperature of your product in real-time. We tweak the emitter length and wattage to match your actual line speed.
